The Environmental Protection/Permits & Licenses Committee generally reviews environmental issues that affect the quality of life in our district including, but not limited to, such items as solid waste management and sanitation services, environmental quality and control issues as well as clean-up and remediation efforts. Permits & Licenses regularly reviews applications for liquor licenses, sidewalk cafes, cabaret permits and other any other ministerial applications. In this capacity the committee works to strike a balance between the need for a thriving and robust local economy with the quality of life impacts commonly experienced by commercial neighbors.
